Today was absolutely wild and felt like two parents and six kids were going in different directions all day long all over the place with hardly a moment with us all together holding still in one room. But we managed it by the grace of heaven for family scripture study in the morning (we love The Book of Mormon–it’s such an anchor to Christ for us all) and for family prayer at night (I love all of our hugs afterwards–it’s such an anchor for me to each of them).
I’m also hacking up a lung and really done with being sick but trying to look for small signs of improvement. I’m afraid to go to sleep because it’s so hard to sleep and I keep Charming awake, so he’s had to find a quieter place to sleep. :(

But today was also momentous. Our oldest son got his first checking account and debit card. And we all watched his first Pizza Hut check get sucked from his fingers into the ATM machine straight to his savings account. The savings account that I started for him when he was a tiny little guy years ago. And I just can’t wrap my brain around it all, so I don’t try too hard. I just wrap my arms around him and smile instead. So proud of you, Bubbers King!!

And speaking of tiny little guys… When he woke up super early from his nap and I was beyond exhausted, I declared movie time and loved snuggles with this adorable guy. (Who later climbed up and pulled down all of the TV electronics, so we couldn’t finish the movie. But the stuff crashing down didn’t hurt him which is the most important.)

I picked a girlie movie that Shooshee had been wanting to watch but her brothers have kept vetoing at family movie nights and she ran to me with the biggest hug when I told her.
“I’m so glad it will be just you and me, Mama!!”
I squeezed her back. “Me, too!”
(She knew Woobies would be with us, too, but for our family, that’s super close to just being me and Shooshee!)

After the movie we had a nice moment together for family dinner and Woobies was all ready and waiting for the prayer! Totally melted my heart.
I’m glad every day isn’t this crazy. And I’m glad that even when it is, there are still amazing moments and so much love with these precious kids.
Love you guys!
