  • … Also overheard from the timeout porta crib: "Vun, two, fee, four, nine, ten. Sorry. Brodah. For. Hitting." #
  • I always think my Vitamix is going to blow up. It's so intense! #
  • The great post-partum hair exodus isn't nearly as formidable with short hair! #
  • I love pronouns & 2-yr-olds: "It's my tummy." "It's your tummy?" "No! It's MY tummy." "It's YOUR tummy?" "No, no! It's MY tummy!"… #
  • … Comprehension dawns: "Ohhh! It's BOOTS' tummy?" "Yeees! It's MY tummy!" :):) #
  • Boots & Brother are sharing a blanket, drinking beverages on the couch, reading & swapping our 3 different Aladdin books. :) #
  • And they can't wait for their 4th Aladdin book to come in the mail (an awesome Mouse Works one). "I want the BIG Aladdin book!" Boots says. #
  • "Mommy! It's riped!!" Boots cried, holding up the not-ripe blueberry he'd just picked. Then he licked it, "Mmm, it's YUMMY!" he assured me. #
  • "Mommy, do you want to be the duck -billed dinosaur and I'll be the 'Terrible Tyrannosaurus'?" Brother asked me. "Sure!" #

  • I was reading a new Road Runner & Wile E. Coyote book to Brother & he BUSTED up laughing at the auto horn that says, "A-oo-gah!"… #
  • … After that, I a-oo-gahed up a storm while Brother laughed uncontrollably & Boots came running to find out what was so funny! … #
  • … Then all 3 of us were a-oo-gahing & laughing up the stairs to naps! Boots went down w/ the book opened to "a-oo-gah" on his dresser… #
  • … And Brother went down promising to be Wile E. Coyote & set traps for me downstairs when we wakes up! Man. I love these kids! #

  • Nothing better than hearing my children laugh, play and enjoy each other!! #
  • Awww!! While I was in Baby's room changing his diaper, I overheard from my room: "I love you, Boots." And then, "I love you, Brother." #
  • "Please sit down for your timeout," I said to Boots. "No! I'M do it!," he insisted and then sat down, folded his arms, closed his eyes… #
  • … Then very quietly, contritely and automatically said to himself, "One, two, fee, nine, ten. Sorry, Brodah." #
  • Poor Boots. He's walking bowlegged to avoid rubbing the terrible diaper rash on his thighs. :( I hope it heals soon!! #
  • Crossing my fingers that the gauze I wrapped around Boots' thighs will alleviate pain from rubbing when he walks & allow the rash to heal. #
  • Brother: "Dear Heavenly Father, Please bless Daddy to be safe. So safe that he won't be eaten by dinosaurs." #
  • Brother: "Tyrannosaurus rex is a SCABENGER. Yeah. He's a scabenger." #
  • Brother: "Aladdin is the ' Diamond in the Roth'. Yeah. He's one of my friends, too." #
  • Brother, when I came to say good night after making a quick 30-min run to pick blackberries in the setting sun: "Mommy, I missed you." #
  • Brother, in his deep sand tiger voice: "Aladdin is the 'Diamond in the Ruh-th'!" #
  • Boots, after his afternoon nap: "Mommy, look! It top bleeding!" Then he handed me a fistful of gauze that had been covering his leg rashes. #

  • I just got a "Yes, ma'am" on the phone from a craigslist customer. Totally made me smile. I love gentlemanly manners. :) #

  • It is so cute how much Brother and Boots completely love the "Aladdin" story! They heard the soundtrack, read the book and they were hooked! #
  • Ahhh. The sweet sound of someone else shoveling & moving our seemingly endless pile of unwanted rocks! Wish I thought of hiring out sooner! #
  • "PAUSE!!!!" Brother & Boots yelled simultaneously when I started the loud microwave while the "Aladdin" CD was playing @ lunch. :):) #
  • Out of nowhere, Brother looked up right into my eyes and said, "I would do anything for you, Mommy." #
  • (Brother wants to type): fguchf grabbed ghh gm HYPNOTHERAPIST th dc elihu finch tvg #
  • I'm seriously considering trying to bake our dinner turkey loaf in Charming's new grill to keep from heating up our house even more… #
  • I've got the turkey roast baking in the grill right now. Two burners on low keeps it at 350°. We'll see how this turns out… :) #
  • Oh, and my kitchen is as cool as a cucumber! #
  • "Where did you get that rock?" I asked Boots about one from his collection. "Earf!" he replied & ran to show me on our solar system poster! #
  • I just did an impromptu "clean up the house" to earn a DVD while I cook dinner. So effective! Boots was bookin' it like nobody's business! #

  • I keep finding little bruises on my face & head. Compliments of the Boots. And his boundless love & enthusiasm. Totally makes me smile. :) #

  • Taking home a load of goods after the Labor Day 1/2 off sale at the thrift store. Best thing ever for getting new clothes after having Baby. #
