General Conference! (by the Bubbers King)
Heidi April 11th, 2011
Guess what!?
Last week it was General Conference for our church!
So we spent Saturday and Sunday listening to our awesome Prophet and Apostles.
As usual, my favorite parts were the songs!!
And this time around, I saw Mommy taking pictures with Daddy’s iPhone…
… So I charmed her out of it to take a few pictures of my OWN! :)
This is Pee-pah. She is my favorite stuffed animal ever.
This is Mommy. She is my favorite Mommy ever.
This is Daddy. He is my favorite Daddy ever.
This is one of the speakers. I don’t really know who he is. But I’m sure he is my favorite ever.
The Boots slept through most of the sessions.
But when he was awake, he was his usual chipper self!
Which was amazing, since he was sick and hacking up a lung most of the time.
Poor little Boots.
His favorite thing was sneaking into the computer chair.
And touching forbidden fruit.
“Hello! I’m totally innocent. Can’t you tell?”
He even tried to find home row!
But when he turned off Conference, we had to intervene.
Mommy and I were sick, too. So Daddy was wonderful to take care of us all.
On Sunday, he brought in my bean table so I could play while we listened.
And when they sang “The Spirit of God” at the end of the morning session on Sunday, it was AWESOME. I told Mommy I felt the Holy Ghost the whole time!
I think the Boots did, too, but he got distracted by the alluring computer chair.
We ended up missing the last session on Sunday, because we took the Boots to the Walk-in Clinic. His cough was so bad, we were really worried.
So they x-rayed the little guy and he had “bronchialitis”.
So Mommy and Daddy learned how to give him breathing medicine.
And he eventually learned to enjoy it!
Then we enjoyed our visiting wildlife.
I really love all of God’s creations.
It was the perfect ending to another great Conference weekend!
Hope everyone feels better now. A computer seem to draw little ones like a magnet.
Elora had bronchiolitis when she was two months old; it was really hard for her to nurse! they gave us a nebulizer for her to use; when they tried it at the doctor’s office, she kept laughing about it so they didn’t realize how sick she was.
Hope everyone is feeling better!
