My 3rd Birthday!
Heidi April 28th, 2010
The morning of my 3rd birthday, I woke up with a smile!
“Is it my birthday?” I asked.
“Yes, it is! You’re three years old today!” Mommy and Daddy beamed down at me.
I smiled up at them.
“May I open my presents now?” I asked with a knowing gleam in my eyes.
“Yes, you may,” they laughed. :)
And so I did!! And boy was I surprised!!
Grandma and Grandpa gave me construction vehicles!
That were the perfect size for my pinto beans!!! (And there was even a set for me to use outside, too!)
Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa!!
And Scooters gave me an alphabet puzzle train!
That was ten feet long!!
Thank you, Scooter-man!!
“Hey, you’re welcome!”
“Happy Birthday, Big Bro!”
And Papa and gg gave me a tent!!
That was so easy to use–it just POPS right up!
And there was plenty of room for all my new friends!
Thank you, Papa and gg!!
Then I got my last present!
Oh-ho!!!
It was my special friends!!
Mommy and Daddy let me pick them out.
And then I waited sooo patiently to get them!
But now that it’s time to get them…
I can hardly believe it’s true!!
Emily? Are you really there???
Alfie? Is that you???
And Salty! I see Salty, too!!
Holy smokes!!
I can finally play with them!!!
*WHOOT! WHOOT!!*
This is fantastic!!! Thank you, Mommy and Daddy!!
After that, Daddy made me my favorite breakfast.
SAUSAGE!! And grits and eggs!!
Thank you, Daddy!!
You’re so wonderful!! :):)
After that, we took a trip to a special, secret surprise that Daddy planned for me! (That I’ll tell you all about in my NEXT post!)
And that afternoon, it was so pretty!
That we got to play outside!
Daddy had taken this whole day off from work to be with me and play with me and I loved being with him so much!
Then my friends started to come!
And we ate food!
And Mommy watched me really hard.
To see if it was really true that I was three whole years old.
And it was!
Scooters even got to see his friend, Carter!
We played and talked!
And laughed!
Then I got to open even more presents!
My last official birthday party with friends was when I turned one, so this was the first one for me that I really understood.
And I couldn’t believe how kind my friends were!
They were so cute and excited to have me open their gifts!
And Mommy helped me read their sweet cards!
And Daddy watched the Scooter-man. :)
It was so fun to see what they all picked out for me!
And how eager they were to show them to me!
And how eager I was for Mommy to open them for me!
And I loved every one of them!
And Mommy had to laugh at my little trail. :)
After that, it was time for cake and ice cream!
Except.
I may or may not have…
Taken one of my gifts…
And attacked my father and party guests… :):)
But then Mommy hid my gun and it was time to eat again!
So Daddy lit the smoky stacks and whistle!
And the wind blew out my whistle.
And I blew out the smoky stacks! :):)
Then we were so patient and waited for our pieces.
Mmm-mmm!!!
After that, Mommy laughed at my sweet, frozen, glassy-eyed appearance. I was a bit tired after my fun-filled day. :)
Thank you so much, everyone! I was so excited for my birthday and you all made it such a special day!
