A sacred glow

The days my husband and I spent in the hospital with our new son will always have a sacred glow around them.

I loved being confined to a bed and indulging myself with holding our snuggly babe all day and all night long.

I loved requesting to stay the full 3-and-a-half days I was allowed, so I could have a full day of just me, my husband and our new son–without all the interruptions that come in the first two days.

All the “business” was done.

All the tests were passed.

The world outside could wait another day.

All we needed to do…..

Was love our new miracle.

I stayed the extra day after having Grant too and I was so glad I did.

Looks like y’all are doing well! Your new arrival is so darn cute.

There is absolutely NOTHING like that feeling! Thanks for taking me right back there! Such a precious, miraculous, time, where for a little while you are so close to heaven!

Wow, I don’t think my kids would let me stay that long!
