An Impromptu Concert

Tonight at bedtime, I asked the sweet Bubbers King to show his Daddy the children’s song he spontaneously sang for me this morning.

And we loved it so much, we wanted to share it with you. :):)

What we love about this video:

  • His dear little voice
  • How he always starts the song kneeling on one knee
  • How he lays his little cheek on the carpet at the end of the song
  • How his arms aren’t quite long enough to extend past his head
  • His sweet silliness after the songs :):)

Snapshot in Time: 24 Weeks Pregnant

  • How I’m feeling:

Good

Bigger every day :)

  • Bizarre side effects:

Shortened eyelashes on my left eye

Four little red spots appearing on my face (from “heightened vascular activity”) that give no indication of leaving anytime soon (and they work in pairs–two on the bridge of my nose and two in my right nasolabial fold)

Occasional leg cramps

  • Continuing side effects:

Acid reflux (mainly at night or if I’m hungry)

Pelvic pain whenever I use my legs

  • Activities that quickly remind me that I’m pregnant:

Trying to get up off the floor

Trying to catch the speed-demon Bubbers King during our daily “Get You!!” chase and tickle games

Trying to squeeze out of the car in a tight parking spot

Trying to sit in a kid’s chair when doing therapy

  • What makes my day:

When heaven sent people tell me I don’t look pregnant unless I turn sideways

  • Does he have a name, yet?

Nope, not even close

What happens when Mommy says, “Smile!!”
