“Gah-gah! Gah-gahhhh!!”
Heidi October 30th, 2008
We live at the end of a quiet, peaceful cul-de-sac.
And every once in a while, we hear a dog bark or a plane fly by or a lawn mower start up.
But other than that, it’s quiet and peaceful.
Except.
At that same special time every week.
Right after Bubbers gets up from his morning nap.
When he’s still groggy and disheveled.
But as soon as he hears it, he snaps into action.
“Gah-gah! Gah-gahhh!!” he shrieks four octaves above middle C.
And then climbs onto the living room couch as fast as his little Wooga legs will let him.
Instantly becoming mesmerized.
Clutching the couch with his little fingers.
And never once breaking eye contact.
With his beloved “Gah-gahhh!!”
He watches until it’s gone.
And then eagerly waits for it to come again next week.

How sweet. He already has the big boy love of those big boy toys.
I love the pic of his little hands clutching the couch.
That is so cute!
Hey, I see my house! Ha!
Yes, my little Bubba also enjoys the “Garbage Can” (as he calls it) as well! Such an exciting time of day!
That is so funny! Only little boys can make garbage men and firefighters feel like they have the coolest job in the whole world!
My favorite is the side shot where you can still see evidence of his recent nap.
hey! that’s Ernie … he’s our garbage man too! and i only know his name because my boys have the same attraction to the big truck and worker-man! i love it … we get home from dropping the girls at school and it’s perfect timing to see him dumping our neighbors garbage and then ours and so on up the road … and we watch him until he’s out of sight. back in the summer time ammon would follow him up the road … all the while talking to him. now it’s just a smile and a wave – too cold for chit chat!
Little boys and big vehicles! William’s favorites were busses and trains, but he always loved seeing the garbage truck too! Such fun pictures! You are so good at capturing those moments!
Ah, yes the awesome garbage truck! An amazing contraption of the 20th century!
That’s so cute! What a cutie!
