“… marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God … [and] is essential to His eternal plan.”

I fully support Proposition 8.

I know what you mean! I’ve been thinking about this subject for quite sometime. thank you for bringing it up!
Me too, although that video is hard to watch.
I agree, which is one of the reasons why I think we need to watch it.
AMEN! What is up with the Supreme Court? Our country is headed to a very bad place and gaining momentum. Unfotunately I think all this in inevitable, no matter how much it angers and irritates me.
By the Way- LOVE LOVE that picture of you guys and your HAIR! Gorgeous!
Must say I found the video hard to watch, but I understand where you are coming from.
I appreciate your thoughts, Suzanne. What about it was difficult for you?
First of all, that picture of you and your husband is absolutely beautiful!! You are stunning!
Second, I wholeheartedly agree with and support proposition 8 and the fact that “Marriage” was designed by God, our maker, as being one man and one woman joined together forever! That video was both disturbing and motivating to get the word out about the truth of what is going on in our society today! We attended the “May day for Marriage” rally at Safeco Field put on by a bunch of Christian churches and organizations a few years back when Olivia was younger. That was a very powerful experience for me and it really made me realize what we are dealing with here and it really is a spiritual issue and an agenda that is already formed that is trying to change the way our Lord, through our forefathers, the very Christian foundation of our nation is being shaken. The interesting thing I found is that the liberal minority are the ones being loud and getting a lot of attention that are therefore causing the changes to happen in the high courts. That is why it is so important, as Christians, Followers of Christ, to put aside our differences and do what it right and band together and speak up about this issue and other issues so important to us and our Lord, (like abortion, among others!) Also to be lifting the heavens with our unending prayers and petitions that all of this will be overturned and changed! Imagine, if all of us that believe band together and speak out and act on this!
Sorry for the long response, I just feel very strong about this topic!
Thank you so much, Katie!
And please don’t apologize–I feel EXACTLY the same way as you about everything you said and I love that you are so passionate about it! And I agree that we need to unite together and do everything we can to stand up for our beliefs and our democratic rights.
First of all – What a beautiful, romantic picture of you two! I’m with Darcy – LOVE your hair! :) And you’re right, although that video is a little hard to watch (seeing two men or two women get “married” or kiss is not something I’ll ever get used to), I agree that we NEED to watch it and understand the gravity of the situation. If I remember I’ll have to forward an email I got from my aunt about what could happen if Prop 8 fails… I’ve always kinda missed CA just a little (Bill and I lived there as newlyweds for 3 mos. during his internship), but now I REALLY wish we were living there just so I could vote there! :) I’m glad you posted this.
