They do grow up so fast. I work at a daycare and even though the kids aren’t mine it is hard to see them grow up and leave the different classes for older ones. Bubbers is so cute!!

It is amazing how much more they learn every day. I bet it’s fun to compare his 11 month snapshot with the 12 month one. I’m glad you used my definition of his noise as well, it just makes me laugh every time he does it. So cute!

Happy Birthday! Time does fly. I remember 12 short months ago when he was born! Isn’t it fun watching them learn and grow? They make everything so exciting.

Tearese: Yeah, I think most people would count it as a first word already, but the SLP in me won’t let it count, yet. :) I’m waiting until he only uses it in reference to Charming to indicate one solidified definition has developed in his brain. I do believe he understands “Daddy” when I say it–he just doesn’t produce it as a first word, yet. :)

awe, happy birthday! I know changing a diaper is so hard with them twisting and climbing away! I don’t think Josh will be ready to wean at 12 months, he’s still pretty needy.
I’d say if he consistently calls M dada, I’d count it. I do so with Josh, as well as the words mama and cheese, because he’s usually referring to the right thing.
Josh has started doing the lip smacking thing too, now I know how cute it is!
