The winner!

February 22nd, 2008

Thank you so much to everyone who entered my first ever give-away! (And thank you to those who didn’t enter, but still dropped by to read). :) I had a lot of fun seeing what people thought and which combo they’d choose from Lisa’s wonderful wares.

Now, originally, I wasn’t going to announce the winner until Monday. But then Charming called me from work this morning and excitedly asked, “Did I win?!?” And I explained that the winner would be announced on Monday. But then Charming asked, “Why are you waiting until Monday?” And I started to answer him until I realized I didn’t actually have a reason for waiting until Monday….. And waiting “just because” suddenly seemed a little silly to me, so I decided to go ahead and announce it today. :)

So, I went to and trusted that it would really, truly give me a random number between one and eight (sans Charlotte per her request).

And this is what it said:

First giveaway winner

And lucky responder #5 was Linda.

Congratulations, Linda!! Please email me at with the address you’d like your bib/burpie combo sent to and a confirmation of which combo you want.

Thank you again for entering everyone! It was actually much harder than I thought it would be to only have one winner and I wished everyone could win! But I plan to do more of these every so often, so hopefully everyone will get a chance to win over time.

Thank you again for reading and stayed tuned for more Bubbers cuteness! :)

Maybe I’ll just have to buy one for myself. :) That was a cool way to choose the winner!

Congrats Linda. Better luck next time, I guess!

ooo, just like Pioneer Woman. Though not as difficult to choose when you don’t have 4,ooo entries!

Thanks for being such great sports everyone! I really do wish I could have given everyone one–you’re all so awesome!

Tearese: LOL! That’s exactly where I got the idea. :) I was wondering how she was going to randomly choose someone from 4,000 entries and thought using a random number generator was brilliant (and so easy). Though before the contest was over, Charming was testing it out to see how it worked and kept clicking the button over and over again until it said his number. :) And it surprised us at how not random it seemed–because it took many tries to get his number to pop up.
